Industry Standards: Granular Activated Carbon Systems
An excellent product is the GAC Commercial Water Filter. This water filter is formulated with Granulated Activated Carbon material, which is the most effective at removing contaminants such as Chlorine, Trihalomethanes (THM), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and bad odors & tastes. Trihalomethanes (THM) are by-products of chlorinated water that causes cancer. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) are known to cause a variety of health problems, including respiratory and skin irritations, and cancer.
This system is compatible with standard Fleck® electronic controls or with a mechanical control. The water filers comes with heavy duty structural mineral tanks made of Poly Glass. The unit includes an all brass, motor driven control. A unit with an electronic control valve allows features self adjusting backwash controls and regeneration cycles.
